Make the Internet fair for performers

The Internet is for everyone.

Do you think that performers should get a fair share?

Today, whether they are famous or not, performers are still not fairly rewarded when their performances are exploited via online on demand services. Most of them receive an all-inclusive fee at the time of the recording for all type of exploitation of their performances. Others receive an insufficient proportional remuneration.

Excluding performers from the financial benefits that the online market has to offer cannot be the basis for a sustainable cultural and creative sector.

A European initiative is urgently needed.

The four international organisations representing over half a million performers in Europe (AEPO-ARTIS, EuroFIA, FIM and IAO) have therefore joined forces and launched a campaign for the fair treatment of performers in the digital environment (Fair Internet campaign).

Please support this campaign by signing this petition and sharing it via your social networks.
